Jet ski rentals require a credit card imprint to be held as a damage deposit. No crash, no problem. You crash, they charge. The actual charge for the rental you can pay in cash, traveller's cheque, or with the same credit card.

Minimum age to drive a jet ski is 16, but the driver must be at least 18 to carry a passenger.

Keep in mind that if you are only there for about an hour, part of that time will probably be devoted to eating!

Just spent the morning at Rum Point on 6/21. We rented a car from Cico Avis, pd around $60, a cab would be outrageous. We had some difficulty with their "roundabouts" which are weird circle type intersections. Rum Point is beautiful, you can go into the water up to your neck and still see your feet, it's crystal clear. We had one problem. Arriving around 10am, we had the place to ourselves. Then a boatload of people started to arrive so we quickly ordered some chips and salsa. The lady at the shop wouldn't give us our chips because "the people on the boat ordered ahead of time, so they get served first." They weren't even on the beach yet. This woman had been so unfriendly the whole time. We complained to someone else, and he gave us our chips within a minute. This was a major turn-off for us. SO, if you wanna eat, order up before you see a tour boat in the distance!! At this point when they arrive, it's chaos and not too enjoyable anymore. Otherwise, simply beautiful, with plenty of shade.
