exoticislandgirl Posted August 13, 2004 #1 Share Posted August 13, 2004 I'm going to bring 2 bottles of wine in a backpack, which will be part of my checked luggage. I was wondering, though, has anyone been able to bring on a cork screw opener to remove the cork in the wine? Mine is metal, and I was wondering if that would raise eyebrows with security if I place it in my carry on bag. How has everyone else been able to open their bottled wine? Did you take a cork screw from home or take the bottle down to the bar in the ship to get it removed? We enjoy our wine in our room, therefore would not be asking the wait staff to cork it for us at dinner. Thanks!
Lyncruiser Posted August 13, 2004 #2 Share Posted August 13, 2004 Feel free to take a corkscrew, but don't put it in your carryon. Pack it in your checked luggage. I had two nice corkscrews taken away by airport security recently. Forgot I even had them in my carryon.
bobcan Posted August 13, 2004 #3 Share Posted August 13, 2004 we had no trouble last year taking our corkscrew on board.
Just_Cruising Posted August 13, 2004 #4 Share Posted August 13, 2004 Put the wine in your checked luggage (wrap with bubble wrap) as well or it might bet confiscated.
