Liberty to Airport

Recommended Posts

Off the Brilliance we were in the first colors called ( not self disembarkation) and we were at the FLL airport ( about 40 minutes away) by 8:30 . I don't know if you are saying your flight would be around 10-11 but if you are I think you would be taking a chance. Everything would have to go very smoothly to make that early a flight and beside if you are flying international (Australia?0 you need to be at the airport 2 hours ahead.

Hi All,

Has anyone had a flight leave from either MIA or FLL between 10am - 11am after a Liberty or Freedom cruise?

We are planning to carry our luggage (backpacks) off ourselves any chance we'll make it ??

Carry off is schedule depending on which document you look at, sometime between 6:15 to 7:30. We read three different times, on our 6/2 to 6/9 sailing. Real time is 6:30am to 7am.

We where delayed getting off the boat by 90 minutes. We went down to the departure deck at 7am for carry off, but didn't get off till 8:00am and it was a pileup.

30 minutes through customs and immigration. (US Citizen)

30 minute taxi ride to airport.

By now it was after 9am, when we had hoped we'd be there earlier, getting off the ship at 6:45am.

Plan on two to three hours at the airport.

You might make it if the planets align, with a tail wind and trains passing south. I personally wouldn't try it or would have an alternate/backup, if it didn't work out.

if you carry your bags off and get off close to right away you should be fine for either airport I think...the only time we noticed the crowds all cruise was that last morning...it took a while to get off the ship and even after we got off the ship, the line for customs was slow...not really that long, just slow
