Question for spirit class experts

The Canal lock chambers are 33.53 meters (110 ft) wide, not sure if this is correct, found it online somewhere.

The beam across the Carnival ships are from 103 to 125. Im not sure if they have expanded the Lock any but I know that years ago when I took a Princess ship across the locks and it only had 11 inches on each side from touching the walls.

Fred I saw a Program on The Discovery or The National Geographic channel one. The locks are still the same as when they were first built. However a plan for major expansion to the locks is in the works will take somewhere close to 20 to 25 years to complete. The shipping industry is building ships much larger then the canal. The canal is losing out on money because they can't handle the larger ships. These "SUPER" ships are the next wave. so I would for cruise ships to expand in a outward fashion instead of upward once thise is near completion. what do you think?
