Effie Posted June 17, 2007 #1 Share Posted June 17, 2007 My family and I have cruised on Carnival three times before - 2001, 2002 & last in the summer of 2003. We just booked a 5 day cruise on the Holiday out of Mobile for mid-Aug. 07. I'm sure since the last time we cruised out of Miami and Norfolk there have been changes made to the embarkation and debarkation processes (and other processes for that matter) and if I took forever to read through the posts I may be able to figure out some of the changes but you guys have always been so helpful before, could you give me a quick reference as to what may be different for us now? There are two adults, two 15 year olds and a 7 yr old going this time. Kind of exciting to finally be cruising again! Don't know how we went this long without it! Thanks in advance for any help! Effie Posted June 17, 2007 Author #3 Share Posted June 17, 2007 Oddly enough we've never eaten in the main dining rooms on our previous cruises on Imagination, Fascination and Victory. I feel we may be missing something so we do plan to do formal night this time. Should be an experience. I was told that passports are not needed yet for embarkation. Can anyone confirm (or deny) that this is a true and accurate statement? Are birth certificates, social security cards and our marriage license good enough? Does filling out the "Fun Pass" information online really speed up anything? (They didn't have this last time we cruised).

Birth Certificate & State issued ID will all you will need to board the ship.
