Where on Glory is a good place to meet?

Roll call group would like to meet on the Glory on the first day at sea in the early afternoon. Where is a good place on the ship for families to meet? Also, do you recommend the soda cards and is the water and ice tea any good?

You can meet pretty much anywhere. If outdoors, the rear Lido deck pool is a good place. Food and the bar right there. Indoors, you can try the ship's library if it's a pretty small group. Larger groups could try the Ivory Club on the Atlantic deck. I've never seen many people in there other than when they are showing a movie.

Unless you are a Coke fiend, the soda card might not be worth it. You have to drink 5 or 6 Cokes per day to make it worth it. If you're dealing with kids, it might be easier just to get the card. I drink iced tea with dinner and think that it is quite good. Have fun!

We met our CC roll call at the pizza place by the pool, that worked out well. Some folks wanted to meet inside at the sports bar but most everyone else just wanted to be outside and that way the kids could bolt and be by the pool

I think there's this great bar on the ship called The Glory Hole.

Our Roll Call group met at the Burgundy Bar right outside the disco and I believe around the casino. There wasn't any food, but it was quiet and not many people around. Our group was small. We met at 3:00 right before Muster and it worked out well. Tom-N-Cheryl organized it and did a great job.

I purchased a soda card for my daughter, but not for myself (and I didn't share hers). I have found that there are so many other things to drink I didn't get my $$ worth for a soda card for myself. I did, however, bring out an 8 pack of those 12oz bottles of my favorite soda and did enjoy them on my balcony :D

travgurl,

Our group met at the Lido Aft bar and several members showed up, but didn't actually meet any of us because they weren't sure who was who. I'd recommend the Ivory bar for a second meeting so that everyone there would be there for the specific purpose of meeting and you wouldn't have folks wandering around and missing everyone else.

The tea is good. I think the soda cards are over priced; it's cheaper in the long run to drink the free drinks and bring some soda on board with you. You'll have no issues with a few twelve packs of your favorite soda and it's within the terms of the contract as well. If you were on board for seven days and didn't have any port stops, the soda cards might be cost effective.
