Spirit: How Dark in a Balcony Cabin?

eki

Recommended Posts

Hi,

We are planning a cruise with our toddler on NCL Spirit - I was wondering, how dark can you get the balcony rooms? My son likes the room dark when he's sleeping, and wakes up at the first crack of light in the morning. Will we be able to get the room very dark. (Obviously, this would be a little easier in an inside room ;))

Thanks!!

It's like a hotel room with a large glass window and darkening curtains, but in this case it has a sliding glass door rather than the window. Dark, yes, but not as dark as an inside cabin.

Don't know about the Spirit but I just got off the Sun to Alaska. We had a balcony cabin and when I pulled the curtains, I couldn't see the hand in front of my face . . . and dawn arrived at about 3:00 AM and dusk was at about 10:30 PM.

Room darkening curtains work relly well. I always use my big claw hair clip tp clip tehm together at night in teh middle to keep that little sliver of bright light from coming in in the morning.
