DKMDE Posted June 18, 2007 #1 Share Posted June 18, 2007 Just read Jamaica poll and decided to start my own because I made an interesting comment in my opinion. I have nothing against HMC, however, most major lines own at least one.
TxStacey Posted June 18, 2007 #2 Share Posted June 18, 2007 I would love for Canival to have thier own island. You would think since they are the largest cruiseline (collectively) that they would have one...
GoinCruisin Posted June 18, 2007 #3 Share Posted June 18, 2007 Well, considering they own HAL... you could pretty much say that they DO have a private island in Half Moon Cay :p Since they both use it...

gtalum Posted June 18, 2007 #5 Share Posted June 18, 2007 Maybe I'm jaded because I live in Florida and have unlimited beach access, but I have no desire whatsoever to visit any cruise line's private island.
cruisinsly Posted June 19, 2007 #6 Share Posted June 19, 2007 I think it would be nice. When I am at different ports, I like to experience the culture that is offered. I also like to go to the beach. This would be like a "have your cake and eat it too" kinda thing for me. I would be able to experience the culture at the ports AND have my beach day also. More than one. They have HMC and "Princess Cay. " You could almost consider Grand turk private also. Oh...I forgot Costa Maya. Oops...and their port in Belize. Am I missing any......?????????? Do you want to know how those folks over on the HAL board feel about Carnival using the island? Just post the question over there. This has been brought up before over on that board and the responses were less than nice. :(
e150club Posted June 19, 2007 #10 Share Posted June 19, 2007 its nice to see people in their own culture. new places for me to see but i'd be happy if the ship went around in circles for a week.

This has been brought up before over on that board and the responses were less than nice. :( LOL, I say "TOUGH" :p When HAL owns Carnival, then perhaps they can decide who goes there, but for now, tough cookies  I think it's hilarious that they think they are "too good" for Carnival cruisers... they certainly don't like to be reminded that Carnival Corp owns their precious cruise line... God forbid we sully the beach :p I could make PLENTY of comments about the HAL demographic using the beach... but I do have some class :p

marty30907 Posted June 19, 2007 #20 Share Posted June 19, 2007 We visited HMC on our last cruise on the Elation and we loved it! As far as HAL cruisers not liking Carnival visiting HMC, I say " TOUGH COOKIES." Carnival owns HAL not the other way around!
runcassrun_07 Posted June 19, 2007 #21 Share Posted June 19, 2007 Stopping privately will make the course more interesting and in Aruba or near because that is my favorite place I've been so far in my 26 Carnival cruises. They stopped going there and why no idea.

runcassrun_07 Posted June 19, 2007 #23 Share Posted June 19, 2007 I would love Carnival to stop at a private island mainly because they need new courses. They should make it at Aruba or near because that is my favorite place out of the 26 cruises I've been on. I don't understand why they stopped going to Aruba, that is beautiful.
