Sea Hound Posted June 20, 2007 #3 Share Posted June 20, 2007 :) im on a minisuite on the dawn in july.. heard that you can get a vip tender not to wait in long lines... is this true? if it is, how can i get them?? I was just on the Spirit and, for those who have concierge service, a letter was delivered to the cabin each evening before a port day explaining where suite passengers were to meet to get on the tenders first. It wasn't a tender dedicated to VIPs, you just got to get on first. Same with regular ports. In our case, we met our concierge in Henry's Pub at a specified time and she escorted us to the disembarkation deck to be first in line. It's a great perk! garycarla Posted June 20, 2007 #4 Share Posted June 20, 2007 Does the "mini-suite" get these same benefits?
McCutie Posted June 20, 2007 #5 Share Posted June 20, 2007 I was in a mini suite on the Dawn back in 2003 and we didn't get the VIP tender tix but when we were the Dawn again last year in on of the Penthouse suites we did get them.
cruisingfromMN Posted June 20, 2007 #6 Share Posted June 20, 2007 You can get VIP tender passes from your concierge. Never got VIP tender tickets in a mini-suite. In fact, the concierge was very much inaccessible even though NCL offers them for mini-suites and above. Now, in a penthouse, we were given all the benefits including VIP tender tickets. I don't believe the Mini-suites on the DAWN last summer were able to do the VIP tendering. The Penthouse suites met Claudio in a secret location and were taken down through the crew stairwell to get off the ship first at the private island. The group wasn't large enough to have included the mini-suites. It could depend upon the ship, because many of the ships don't have as many mini-suites as the DAWN, STAR, and the other newer ships. Yes, we are saying the same thing. Plus, the question about VIP tender tickets was regarding the Dawn. So what I'm trying to day is that I don't think it will be likely to receive VIP tender tickets with a mini-suite. Plus, with all the mini-suites and penthouses there would be nothing special about VIP tender tickets because the number of people would cause a huge line. 2boyzmom Posted June 21, 2007 #9 Share Posted June 21, 2007 Yes- we had VIP tender passes on the Jewel ( minisuite) through Ruth the concierge back in 2006. We have heard differently since, but plan on asking once again in February :) You might as well ask- all they can say is no !
