WiFi on Freedom of the Seas

Recommended Posts

Can someone tell me if WiFi internet access is offered on the Freedom? Also, what is the charge for this? If we have a wireless card on the laptop, do we need anything else to connect. Unfortunately, my husband is going to have to do some business on this cruise and it would help if there was wireless. Thanks!

Yep, there is wireless! It is sloooowwwwwww though. It is 50 cents a minute but you can buy packages that make the cost per minute less. I used a MAC and didnt need any special equipment. All you need to do is stop by the computer lab on Deck 8, make a username and password, then open your web browser in your stateroom on your personal computer and you're good to go!

The prepaid packages offer less cost per minute. I used the $50.00 package which gives 167 minutes of use and comes out to 33 cents a minuite. The 50.00 package is the highest plan for the least cost per minute. After you set up an ID and password, you will have to option to pick a package or pay the 50 cents per minute.
