BTMRT Posted June 23, 2007 #1 Share Posted June 23, 2007 When we were in St. John, I snorkeled from the beach and at one point got carried away watching the beautiful fish. Hard to tell the depth of water! I ended up looking like a stranded beached whale in low water, afraid to move because I'd get cut on the coral and embarrassed to death by people on the sand watching my dilemma!! We're going on the Legend in December to Cozumel, Costa Mayo, Grand Cayman and Belize and would love to save some $ by snorkeling at beaches rather than by boat.....BUT....If I have to go by boat to snorkel in deeper water, that's what I'll do! Barbara You could go to a scuba store and buy a skin that covers you from neck to ankles. It should make you feel more secure. You will also stay toasty warm.
