texasmary Posted June 23, 2007 #1 Share Posted June 23, 2007 I see on the deck plans for the Pearl that there is a cinema and a golf net, but I don't read anything about these two things on the reviews, the NCL website, or on the message boards. Can anyone tell me if you saw these things or used them? Would they have golf clubs available? Would you buy a bucket of practice balls like on a regular driving range? Do they show a variety of movies in the cinema? All day long? Just a certain time? Just for kids? Thanks. I really appreciate the answers I have received to my previous questions. This board is great!
OceanDreaming2 Posted June 23, 2007 #2 Share Posted June 23, 2007 Can't answer your golf questions, but to answer your cinema question, the Pearl does not have a stand-alone cinema. Instead, movies are shown in the Stardust Theater. The same movies can be viewed on your in-room TV. The movies in the Stardust are generally in the afternoon. shoreguy Posted June 23, 2007 #3 Share Posted June 23, 2007 and I can answer the golf question - there is a bag of clubs in the golf cage and a few balls. Hit into the net pickem up start over. The cinema on the deck plans is in the teen center and is a large TV

3beagles Posted June 24, 2007 #6 Share Posted June 24, 2007 Movies are also shown on the big screen in the Crystal Atrium.
F5Loar Posted June 24, 2007 #7 Share Posted June 24, 2007 Last week a few movies were shown on the huge full wall size screen in the main Artrim but not everyday and only one showing. Other times this screen had the Wii game going on it which was popular for adults and children or NCL advertisement movies. The in room TV movies on an LCD Wide screen TV were fine but too few. There were 4 channels that all week just showed the NCL logo. No excuse for that. There were lots of folks staying in their cabins after a rough first night at sea. Can't do much channel surfing with 4 of them blank! No charge for rock wall and bowling still $5 and yes you sign up for both and wait your turn or come back when they tell you. I walked by the golf net but never saw anyone in there (it was a bit windy in Alaska to do that) Nice basketball court that stayed busy with teens.
