family suite vs sky suite - celebrity M class

Help! We have a family suite on hold - guarantee only, and we are trying to decide if we should spend the added dollars and go for a sky suite instead (looks nicer). Only two of us, we may be bumped up because of this, and that would mean a possibility of a sky suite (next catagory up). Price for family suite thousands less.....what would you do? Thanks for any info pictures etc.

If you are talking about the FV category, then I would definitely stay with that one. They are on the aft and have huge balconies. There are only 12 of them on the ship. We have had several of the corner FV cabins on Infinity and Millennium and consider them to be the most desirable cabins for the money.

Since you have a guarantee and since there are only 12 FV cabins, you might well be upgraded! However, you would be trading for a smaller balcony, smaller cabin space and adding a few amenities (including a butler).

Here is a link to many Celebrity cabin pictures.http://www.geocities.com/mahdnc/Cabinpix.html

Thank you for the quick reply. Yes I think we will take the guarantee FV and enjoy larger room and deck. Thanks for pictures. If we do not get the FV guarantee we have been told that we will get next room category, which is sky suite.....which looks nice too. Did you see into the FV rooms that are not on the corner, (second in)? The balconies looks so long and narrow, do they get any sun? Thanks again
