gjsmth Posted June 26, 2007 #1 Share Posted June 26, 2007 We have been out of cruise commission for the past 4 years do the our first born. Now that he is old enough we'd like to go back to cruising. As you can see my wife and I have been every place imaginable on a cruise, but with out a child. Can anyone give us some sugestions as far as what lines with newer ships and destinations would be the best for a family of 3. We are partial to NCL for the freestyling thing but are open. Planning on a 9/07 cruise date. Thanks All.
crusinmama06 Posted June 26, 2007 #2 Share Posted June 26, 2007 RCCL Freedom Class Ships (Freedom of the Seas and Liberty of the Seas) has the most things to do out of any ship we've ever been on The kid activity schedule for your son's age is posted here...click on RCCL http://s204.photobucket.com/albums/bb196/cruisinmama06/
rebeccalouise Posted June 26, 2007 #3 Share Posted June 26, 2007 i don't like the megaships- I am sure some do. I have done 4 NCL cruises and they were great. Do one off season- since she isn't school age. There will be fewer kids and you will have a better cruise experience.
KerCar Posted June 26, 2007 #4 Share Posted June 26, 2007 I just returned from the NCL Spirit with my 4 yo son. He had an AMAZING time! I posted a review of my trip on this board. Check it out:)
gjsmth Posted June 26, 2007 Author #5 Share Posted June 26, 2007 One other thing, for those who have cruised with toddlers how are the sleeping arrangements any suggestion as to cabin types. I've seen on RCCL they have a privacy blind that can be drawn. When he goes to bed at night we'd like to be able to stay up with out disturbing him. Looks like the only to lines that would fit out time line is Carnival and RCCL. Any suggestion as to one the whole family would enjoy. RCCL seemed like it had alot more kid friendly areas and pools. Any good family shore excursions on St. Maarten and St. Thomas?

If you get a balcony cabin or suite...then you could just put him to bed and walk out on the balcony for some adult time. :) That's what we always do.
