Belize Snorkel/Scuba Ideas

Mom/Daugher will be crusing on the Legend end of July. We are looking for a recommendation that will offer great snorkeling and beginner scuba in Belize. Daugher has snorkeled in the Great Barrier Reef and really would like to scuba a reef. I'd rather not...I'm looking for a little less adventure. An operator that offers both would be ideal but not necessary.

DIVING

Our experience in Belize was exactly what we expected. Tim was at the Wet

Lizard when we arrived, waiting for us. We quickly got in the boat and went

out to do our dives. Tim was an outstanding instructor, spent the entire

time actively involved in making sure we maximized the opportunity and use

of our time. He personally led my two sons and me on both dives, pointing

out different items of interest, like a moray eel and sea turtle. He also

made sure everything was done safely and properly. We wanted something

exciting, personalized and unique, and that's what we got. I wholeheartedly

recommend it to everyone!

Who is Tim and what outfit does he work for. We will be in Belize next week with our 14 yr old. My husband and I are certified divers but our daughter is not. We'd like for her to do a quicky course so she can scuba dive in Belize.

Our family went on a snorkeling tour with Star tours and I would NOT recommend them! They weren't at the dock to meet us, we had to walk through the not so nice part of town to find the man who was supposed to take us to our boat , he took us to the ferry station where we waited another 1/2 hour, the boat and equipment was old, the boat was having engine trouble, etc. We still enjoyed the snorkeling at Shark ray alley but the day definitely could have gone more smoothly!
