arb711 Posted June 28, 2007 #1 Share Posted June 28, 2007 First cruise, so pardon what I'm sure is an obvious question - clearly some people schedule more than one excursion per port - how do you know how to schedule that? i.e., if the ship is there for 8 hours and I want to do two 3 hour excursions, how can I tell if they are at the same time or whether I could do both? Toyz711 Posted June 28, 2007 #2 Share Posted June 28, 2007 when you actually book them, they tell you what time to meet and where. if you book excursions through a local business, they tell you right away what tour times they have. whale watching will, usually, have 3 different schedule tours during the day. ship's tours, also, have set times. but you would be pushing it for 3 tours, sometimes the ship is late getting to port, some tours may run late (due to traffic or slow tourists) basically, they have pre-set times and have been doing for so long they know what time they will be back. EmmaWoodhouse Posted June 28, 2007 #3 Share Posted June 28, 2007 For the ship's excursions, (at least on Princess), when you get your documents, there are forms you use to book, and each has the start and end time for each tour (many of which are multiply offered). cjnky Posted June 29, 2007 #4 Share Posted June 29, 2007 In places like Juneau, you can co-book with an independent vendor and they'll make sure the time frame works for you to see both. (We're doing that with Orca Whalewatching and Coastal Helicopter)
