Hi folks-I have booked a New Year's Eve cruise on the Jewel for Dec.'08..questions:

1)How did you like the Beer/Maltings Pub and is there any draft beer?

2)Best places to have a brew?

3) Anyone remember what kinds of beer available?

Thanks!

May I suggest doing a pub crawl? My DW and I do one every cruise we take. We do it on the last sea day of the trip. We take a picture at each stop and then go back to the first bar/lounge where we started before going to bed. You should see the look of the bartender's face when we come back in :D (should they be on duty then). Bring your daily along so you know the hours of each bar. Have a great trip!

Big Al, you know I was thinking the same thing - a good pint sounds like the order of the day (every day ;) ).

When are you travelling on the Jewel ??

We were meant to be travelling yesterday (sunday 1st) but the terrorists had other plans at glasgow airport and we've had to re-schedule to next sunday, so if you're about then, we can share a pint or three eh ??

If not, I'll try and leave some left for you....but have a great trip.

Eckiem-We're not travelling on the Jewel till New Year's Eve Dec.'08!! BUT I take my pints seriously-obviously since I'm already asking about the pints!!!..BTW,my ex-wife was from Brechin(near Dundee),and I was in Scotland in '91,'92 & '94..nice pubs, and I LOVED those Melee (sp?) puddings..we snuck about 10 home in the suitcase...aaahhh,having Tennant's & Mckewen's every night at one of the 25 pubs in town.... next cruise Nov.10 on the magnificent & largest ship in the world-RCI's Liberty of The Seas...can't wait-and they have a British Pub on the Royal Promenade with Guinness & Bass on draft.......Have a great cruise and do write a review about your cruise & the beers!!!
