Does anyone know what the fare is from the FLL airport to the Port of Miami?

65$-70$ one way. Or you can take the shuttle that is located right outside the baggage claim at FLL for 18$ per person one way.

It is about a 30-45 minute ride, depending on traffic. For us out of NY it is always cheaper to fly into FLL. The difference is usually a couple of 100$, so even figuring in the cost of the taxis/shuttle it is a lot cheaper for us.

I recommend using the Tri County Shuttle in lieu of a Taxi. You can also probably rent a private car with a driver through Tri County for cheaper than the Taxi. www.floridalimo.com. You can get free rate quotes on the website.

 

Which airport is cheaper to fly into just depends. If you have a preferred airline, some only fly into one airport or the other.

We are flying into FLL from Buffalo, it is about HALF the price of the flight to Miami. I google-mapped the route from FLL to Miami and it looks to be about 26 miles - so maybe half an hour. We are renting a mini-van as there are 7 of us and cab far would be too expensive!
