WestchesterCruiseFan Posted July 2, 2007 #1 Share Posted July 2, 2007 Another thread has announced the 2009 World Cruises and I will be taking one. However, I have a question...QV is beginning in Southampton but will be stopping in NYC. Does anyone know if they will allow passengers to embark in NYC or will I need to fly to England to actually begin my cruise, even though I live in NY? Many, if not most, will embark in NY or Fort Lauderdale - and you will be able to complete your World Cruise with a crossing on the QM2 back to NY from Southampton. Peter Thanks Peter, that's what I thought - which now puts QV as my front runner for 2009. Decisions, decisions :D

Peter Actually QV arrives back in Soton on 20 April - QM2 isn't scheduled for a westbound until 22 April??? Ken

They're slipping.....Caronia's arrival always used to coincide with a sailing to NY - perhaps they think of it as a two day excursion in 'London'! ocngypz Posted July 2, 2007 #6 Share Posted July 2, 2007 It actually depends on how Cunard breaks down the voyages on the US side of the pond. Suffice to say, it is always more fun to do a winter crossing!
