laundry rooms on Triumph, which decks?

it's on the starboard side, pretty far forward.

I wouldn't suggest planning on getting any laundry done, though. Unless it's absolutely necessary.

First of all, there are 3 washers and 3 dryers for the entire deck, so good luck finding a time when they're free (who wants to spend their vacation checking? LOL).

Second of all, when we sailed in May (although I'd HOPE they'd have them fixed by now), 2 of the 3 washers were broken, and the dryers took FOR-EVER. 3 loads of laundry took us over 4 hours (and the only time we found washers available was about 11:30 p.m.).

And even then, we had a "run in" with a guy who wasn't familiar with "laundry room ettiquette". We had done 3 loads of wash (almost 2 hours) and this one dryer had wet clothes in it, and no one had come to put any money it the damn thing. So, following "common laundry room ettiquette", we neatly placed the clean, wet laundry on top of the dryer. While we were doing that, the person whose laundry it was came in and kind of gave my DH a nasty look and said, "are those wet?" (read: "why are you moving my wet clothes?") and my DH said, "yes, they've been here, and wet, taking up this dryer for 2 hours". And the guy left. So we loaded our laundry, went up on deck to get an ice cream, came back down and the guy had returned and switched out OUR laundry and put HIS laundry in, while our money was RUNNING the damn thing! My husband was about to hunt the guy down and wring his neck, literally. HOW FREAKING RUDE! Personally, I suggested we go get a Sharpie and make faces all over his underwear, but DH didn't think so. :p So we got to bed about 3:00, and that's WITH damp laundry hung all over our room because we were exhausted and could NOT wait for the crappy dryers to finish up.

So, yeah, it will more than likely be a total PITA. And personally *I* would rather pack a little extra and lug a small suitcase rather than hassle with it. A lesson I learned the hard way this time, but will remember for next time, you can COUNT on it!

We didn't have any trouble last summer while on the Imagination doing laundry, maybe we were just lucky? We'll actually be gone for eleven nights, so unfortunately I have to do some laundry because we are already bringing six suitcases for the four of us, it's those formal nights that really kill us. :) I usually get up at the crack of dawn and throw the laundry in. ;)

We stayed on the Lido deck a couple of weeks ago and there was one right down the hall from us. It had 2 washers & 2 dryers. There was also an ironing board. We did have to wash a couple of loads because DH was going to a conference on business after we left the cruise and we had to get his clothes washed. They did stay busy. It is probably just hit and miss as to when you can get access to them.

I also had a situation with a loud, rude man in the laundry room. I had waited patiently for the iron, because another woman was using it a long time. I finally got the iron and the man walked in and made loud rude comments to his wife in the room across the hall. I told him it would take just a little longer, and I realized it was a mistake to talk to him. He was very intimidating. I realize this doesn't happen every time, but it did make me realize the inconvenience of the laundry room.

We are on the main deck, is there a laundry room on that deck? :)

There are laundry rooms on a few decks. I don't remember all of them, but I know deck 6 has one. There's a list in your cabin - and they tell you exactly where they are. Like other people mentioned, watch your clothes. I just stood in there while the washer ran and then hung our clothes in the cabin to dry. We only washed a few things, so it wasn't too bad. You can get change in the casino if you don't have any.
