KatieIsMe Posted July 2, 2007 #1 Share Posted July 2, 2007 Has anyone used a private excursion service for the SRC experience, if so who do you recommend? I would like to do something else in addition to the SRC experience, maybe some snorkeling. Thanks in advance for your time.
Lovin the Cruise Posted July 2, 2007 #2 Share Posted July 2, 2007 We always go private. Try Jason with http://www.ambassadordivers.com It's a dive company but they also do snorkeling charters.
bbaileyfamily Posted July 2, 2007 #3 Share Posted July 2, 2007 I highly recommend Capt. Marvin's. We have done their snorkeling/Sting Ray City excursion twice and would do it again if I ever go back. Do the half day excursion. It's two different snorkeling stops out by SRC and then a visit to the rays themselves. Several other locals get very good reviews here also. Particulary NativeWay Watersports. However, I only have personal experience with Capt. Marvins. Brad

Garv816 Posted July 6, 2007 #6 Share Posted July 6, 2007 www.ebankswatersports.com We used Shawn Ebanks in May and it was just me and my husband. May is the slow season but they don't take out too many people. We rented jet ski's through them, went to sting ray city and then to the reef to snorkel. Great price and an awesome time. Would definitely go with him again!
bigred08046 Posted July 6, 2007 #7 Share Posted July 6, 2007 Native Way...Great time! only 42 people at a time. Sure beats the others with over 200 people out there with 3-4 rays.

I used Dexter Eubanks - there were 7 of us all together. Great guy and he picks you up when you get off the ship. The most he takes is 20. http://www.dexters-fantaseatours.com/
Here I Come 2 Posted July 7, 2007 #9 Share Posted July 7, 2007 I just booked with Soto's cruises. I have heard nothing but great things about them. Anyway we are going to the Stingray sandbar and then stopping at the coral gardens for snorkling. All for $35. I was worried about booking privately but I heard so much positive feedback about them that I was convinced. www.sotoscruises.com
