Just booked this cruise and have a shore excursion question - we are in Maui until 3PM and the excursion lists 2 luaus. Are these in the early afternoon? Anyone going on this cruise?

First of all you will love this cruise!!! We went last year. Would be happy to answer any questions you have. Unless things have changed, the ship does not offer the Lahaina Luau. This is the one everyone told us to go to. They have a great web site and you can reserve through it. It is within walking distance from the dock and it was great. Setting was beautiful. We got there about 5:30 and it is on a cliff that overlooks the ocean. The sunset was unbelievable. Food and drinks were both very good. Entertainment was outstanding. We met a group of cruise critic people from our ship and had a blast.

Karen is on a 14-day r/t to Hawaii. On that cruise the ship is only in Maui for 1 day from 7am - 3pm -- not the 2 full days like we had. So unfortunatly she won't be able to consider the Lahaina Luau.

I have been to The Old Lahina Luau in the part and it was great. We are only there until 3 - but on Celebrity's website it lists 2 different luaus in Maui - didn't understand that. Thanks,
