Does anyone have information on La Baie? I have not been able to come up with any information except the excursion from the ship. Any help would be appreciated.

La Baie is the French name for the Hudson Bay Company, or, The Bay as it is commonly called. It is a department store.

This would be the city / port named La Baie off the Seguenay. This is a stop for on the NCL Dawn. From what I have seen the wildlife where the Seguenay and St. Lawrence meet is phenomenal, but I have not found anything about the actual port.

La Baie or La Malbaie? La Baie is a sleepy town on the Saguenay river. La Malbaie is the centre of the Charlevoix region.

 

Did they mention Manoir Richelieu and a casino? That might clear it up.

La Baie is a beautiful little city in the Saguenay region. It is a suburb of the city of Chicoutimi.

 

It has a beautiful Fjord. I was there a few years ago and loved it. Not sure what's good to do there other than enjoy the beautiful views and relax.

 

Considering you mentioned the NCL Dawn, the Dawn stops at La Baie and not Malbaie or the department store. :)
