Specialty Dining Glacier viewing Diamond Princess

We will be on the Diamond Princess Sailing north on Aug 18th. we are thinking about dining in one of the specialty restaurants. I am looking for information on Sabatini's and sterling steak house. we both enjoy Italian food and steak. My husband is Italian and he does not like sweet sauce. Would we be safe to check the menu after we board the ship, rather than make reservations ahead of time?

Also, where is the best viewing for the glaciers, and if we need a rest from the cold where is a good place to grab an Irish coffee ( I'm Irish)

Thanks for any Info
