MSMOM2 Posted July 8, 2007 #1 Share Posted July 8, 2007 We are sailing on the Glory in November and was wondering if anyone could tell us some nice beaches in Belize and Nassau. We have children ranging from ages 9 to 13 and are looking for beaches with Kayaks, banana boating, para sailing, etc. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!:)
gail811 Posted July 8, 2007 #2 Share Posted July 8, 2007 Welcome to the boards! I would post your question on the Belize, and Bahamas board. Also do a search on each, as I know people ask that often. Belize is a tender port and I know the ship offers an excursions to a beach; but I cannot speak for what is included.
bguppies Posted July 8, 2007 #3 Share Posted July 8, 2007 In Nassau you want to get off the ship, head through the Welcome Center and walk over to Bay Street and catch the #10 Jitney (bus) for $1 pp, each way, to Cable Beach. At Cable Beach, the Wyndham is now offering a $15 pp daypass, like the British Colonial Hilton does, to use their pools, slides, loungers and facilities for the day. (you can use the beach for free if you don't need loungers or changing/bathroom facilities.) If you head over to the Bahamas board, you can find hundreds of reports from people who have done this. (personally, we prefer the peace and quiet of the British Colonial Hilton with few kids and no motorized water toys. So we have yet to try Cable Beach ourselves.)
