nctxmix Posted July 17, 2007 #5 Share Posted July 17, 2007 We were at ISP on 7/3, SB on the Summit. My daughter, whose 30, did this tour that morning and really enjoyed it. She has a mountain bike at home that she rides on weekends and said this was a leisurely ride. They were told of the history and customs on ISP by their guide. She was back in time to get back on the ship for lunch and return for the Ziprider at 12:30, which by the was was awesome. We all did that and loved it. I have seen some videos of the Zip Rider, and it sure looks thrilling. However, it also looks like it comes to a very sudden, abrupt stop at the end of the ride. Could this be a problem for older people, or people not in top physical condition? We want to do it, but have some fears.

I chose this particular zip line because of a bad knee (can't do alot of walking and could not use my legs to stop). There is a jerk at the end but I think if you are aware of it, it doesn't come as a surprise. Of the seven of us that went, none had any neck/back problems afterwards.
