Ted Pulaski Posted July 9, 2007 #1 Share Posted July 9, 2007 We are considering a cruise on the NCL Crown and I read somewhere that there is an indoor pool and two hot tubs on Deck 2. They do not show on ncl.com deckplans. Are they still there? Thanks!
ripcurl2151 Posted July 9, 2007 #2 Share Posted July 9, 2007 i just got back from the crown yesterday. decks 1 & 2 and half of 3 are for the crew only, so if there's a hot tub or pool on them, you can't use them. there is just the one pool on deck 7 and two hot tubs on deck
Surfgirl Posted July 9, 2007 #3 Share Posted July 9, 2007 There are hot tubs but no indoor pool.
Don Haynes Posted July 9, 2007 #4 Share Posted July 9, 2007 If they do not show on the deckplans, they don't exist for paying passengers.
family cruisers Posted July 9, 2007 #5 Share Posted July 9, 2007 two outdoor hot tubs on the upper deck and one outdoor pool. From what we heard our trip last october was a full ship and we didn't find anything to be overcrowded except for the line to the chocolate buffet but we were in the front of the line :-)
smeyer418 Posted July 9, 2007 #6 Share Posted July 9, 2007 There was second pool which was covered and made into more rooms when it was redone a number of years ago...no second pool....
Druke I Posted July 9, 2007 #7 Share Posted July 9, 2007 SMeyer is correct. The indoor pool down in the bowels was covered and converted years ago. They also took out the dedicated cinema. I sailed her twice when she was the flagship (Crown Odyssey) of the late great Royal Cruise Lines, and she was lovely in her day. I liked her baby sister, Golden Odyssey (a 10,000 tonner) even better.
Flick Posted July 9, 2007 #8 Share Posted July 9, 2007 When Orient turned the Crown Odyssey over to Norwegian three years ago, the indoor pool was taken out as well as the theatre. The pool became cabins for crew and the theatre was the children's pay area. The pool was a great place to do aquaexercises because it had hand rails along the side. It was also much quieter since there was also an outdoor pool.
