Any "must see" in P.V. I know we just kinda plan on wondering around, but am not sure what to expect or how must time may be needed to see the sights ! Is it "town" like or bunches of vendors and shopping things ? I understand we need a taxi from the ship docks. . . .THANK YOU for your help. We feel lost already.

It is not a port with just a bunch of vendors. PV is a lovely town. I didn't see much of it when I was there since we took an excursion on the water then went to The Blue Shrimp for lunch.

I am also looking for some recommendations on things to see.

Here are a couple of links I have.

Puerto Vallarta is a beautiful city with a great downtown and an ocean front Malecon. If you get out of town even a few miles it turns to jungle and the Bouganvilla is lucious! There are so many things to do we never have time to do them all. We usually go up into the jungle to El Eden and see where they made the Preditor movie. That is also home to one of the zip line companys Los Varanos. This will be our first zipline excursion and we are booking directly through Los Varanos. Another cool choice is to take a water taxi to the island of Yalapa and hike to the waterfall. Depending on the time of year it may or may not have much water, but it is a cool little island. You may also think about the dolphin encounter and waterpark. We were at the waterpark years ago before they added the dolphins and it was a blast!

There are many great places to eat and I love the shopping in PV. there is a great outdoor "mall" with a million little shops.

Of all the citys on the Mex. Riviera, we love PV and go any chance we can get. We will be there in Feb. on the Dawn Princess, can't wait:D Cozzette
