Driving to NY Cruise Terminal

I am considering driving to the NY Cruise terminal for the Dawn sailing on 8/18. Has anyone ever driven to the port before? Is parking a problem? What time do you need to arrive to ensure you get a spot?

Thanks

Driven to the port several times...

Parking is never a problem. I personally have never seen the lots fill up so that they are full and closed. Due to 9-11, the only people allowed to park in the terminal lots are ticketed passengers.

I would try to arrive as early as you would like to (i.e. around 11 AM) so that you can relax and have a nice sit down lunch in the Venetian Restaurant before the muster drill and sail-away party. Be sure to account for any traffic delays on the specific date of your sailing.

Enjoy your cruise :)
