rice5899 Posted July 11, 2007 #1 Share Posted July 11, 2007 Do they have sushi on this ship? how big are the interior rooms, we have one room with a 5 and 2 year old, do they have pullman beds and how can we do that with two young ones? Are jeans not allowed in the dining room?
MuffyKismet Posted July 11, 2007 #2 Share Posted July 11, 2007 the rooms are tight on that ship but certainly doable for two parents and 2 todlers. you can put the bottom beds togeather for the parents and then 2 bunks will come out from each side! Plenty of sleeping room. I suggest you spend as little time in the room as possible LOL, maybe take shifts for bathing and dressing so you are not all over each other!! Now the old question of "jeans in the dining room" you will find LOTS of comments on this subject. but on the facination you can definatly get away with it as long as you have a nice shirt on with them. It is preferred that there are NO jeans aloud in the dining room, especially for dinner, but I have seen it plenty of times! You will find that the smaller ships tend to be more easy going the the "dress code" . Remeber there is always the lido deck if you want to just show up in what ever and eat buffet style. On Captains night treat you and your family to a special night , including dressing up! It is fun to get all dolled up and take pics after dinner, then go change and enjoy the rest of the evening in casual cloths! Enjoy!
crookedhalo Posted July 11, 2007 #3 Share Posted July 11, 2007 Sushi is available daily from 5:30 to 8pm on the Promenade Deck (it's a small kiosk just outside of the casino). However, there are only 3 or 4 types available each night and it's all cooked fish - nothing raw;) That being said, it's still good, in fact we tried some types we'd never tried before (one had a cooked mussel and was delicious!):D Cabin size is smallish, but with the bunks up and out of the way during the day (your steward should take care of this every morning), there is plenty of space - only problem is that unless you're in one of the suites, there really is no place to sit in the cabin except the bed and one little chair;) Enjoy the trip, she's a great ship! rice5899 Posted July 12, 2007 Author #4 Share Posted July 12, 2007 my question is, can a 5 and 2 year old actually sleep in these bunks?
crookedhalo Posted July 12, 2007 #5 Share Posted July 12, 2007 Can't answer this one from personal experience, so I'll use my DS' experience. Last year we all cruised together (on RCCL, but should be equal for this purpose) and she had her 3 and 6 year olds with her. The pullmans have ladders and rails, so yes the kids can sleep in them. They did however make sure the littlest was over their bed (she's a rough sleeper and has been know to fall out of bed). My neice only fell out one night during the entire 9 night cruise - DS said the rest of the trip she was so worn out from the excitement that she crashed and never moved a muscle:D Hope this helps:)
