Leo Jay Posted July 13, 2007 #1 Share Posted July 13, 2007 My old passport expired in '97, so I had to apply for an entirely new one as opposed to a renewal -- does anyone know whether I'll have the same passport number, or whether they'll issue a new one? CruisenOne Posted July 13, 2007 #3 Share Posted July 13, 2007 We are on our third Passport. Numbers have changed on each one. We keep the old Passports to look at our pictures:(

I would have kept mine, but the application indicated that I had to turn in the old one... Anyway, thanks for the replies.

They send it back Leo Jay....I had the same problem as you because mine expired in 1995 and I never renewed it until last year. But at the time when I did my application they did send it back. Unless now they are keeping them and not sending them back.

The old passport will have holes punched in it.

Thanks, Sandi and sedbandmom -- good to know -- it'll be nice to have the souvenir. Glad I didn't bother renewing it when it first expired -- it would have been money down the drain, since I haven't flown overseas in over 10 years. :)
