Snorkeling without stingray city

We are going back to Grand Cayman in September and would like to do a snorkeling trip without going to stingray city. Once we tried going on our own and found a nice wreck to snorkel not far from the ship. When we got out of the water all our stuff was gone. Can anyone recommend a good ,SAFE snorkeling trip? Stingray City was ok , but we can do without it now. We will be on the Freedom of the Seas so any advice through RCCL or independant would be appreciated.

Ebanks Watersports can skip over sting ray city if you request it on their wave runner excursion. If you are adventurous, give it a try. We just did it in May. It ended up being only my husband and I and one other couple. We each had double waverunners and Shawn, the owner took us to two different spots. He led the way on his own waverunner. It was very personalized and fun. Google Ebanks Watersports Grand Cayman and it will take you to their site.
