Nowegian Sun/Cabin Question

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I am going to be traveling with a group on the Sun, in February, and am in the process of choosing a cabin. Just wondering if anyone has ever stayed on the Biscayne deck in an interior cabin, and am wondering what that was like (noisewise, etc.)

Another concern that I have is the size of the cabin (147 sq ft). I'm not planning on spending a lot of time in my cabin but don't want to feel too cramped when I'm in there either. I am considering upgrading to a larger cabin on a different deck.

My only previous experiences cruising have been with Carnival; on the Liberty in a balcony cabin, and on the Miracle in an interior cabin.

Thanks in advance for any thoughts and/or advice :)

We were in a Deluxe Inside Room on deck 9 on the Sun and it was a great size. Tons of storage room with more than enough space to walk around and not feel cramped. I think it was around 170 sq - there is even one step up from that, a Superior Inside Room, that is around 190 sq. You will love the Sun - it's a beautiful ship with an amazing crew. Have fun! :D

If you can get a Superior Inside you will have more room than a balcony cabin. You will find the bathrooms smaller than on Carnival. The bedding is also much harder. Carnival's bedding has us spoiled.

As far as the ship, you will find that the layout is pretty spacious Except when a show lets out of the lounge at the rear of the ship. The reason for the crowding is that the photos are lined up in the passageway as you head forward. A tip is to take the door to the right and go outside on the deck and bypass everyone and then come back inside.

Thanks so much you guys...you're awsome! I'm actually debating between a couple of cabins on the Deck 9, one is back-to-back with the elevator at the front of the ship, and the other is about 2/3 of the way back, which one do you think that I should go with?

Go with the one towards the back as it will be closer for you to get to the show lounge, the buffet and the casino/gift shops. It also will have less motion.
