Do We Have To Go Thru Customs In Tortola? If We Do--what Do We Have To Do? My Concern Is That We Plan On Going To The Beach And If We Have To Carry Our Passport I Am Going To Be Afraid To Leave Anything On The Beach. We Are Doing The Hike Excursion Which Ends At The Beach. Can Anyone Tell Me The Process For Tortola? Thanks So Much.:d

We stopped in Tortolla after Bermuda & didn't do customs...just ship card. Tortolla security will look at your card when you walk back toward the ship, next to the market. You will have to get up early & do US customs on the ship in St. Thomas. What a pain, but we all want to be safe.:)

The only time you have to the customs thing is when you re-enter US territory after visiting a foreign port. Like When you come into St. Thomas after visiting somewhere like St. Maarten. Tortola will not be an issue whatsoever.

Right. On our Dawn cruise in april we went to St thomas as the first stop.U.s port to u.s port so no customs hassle.Tortola will be no problem.
