Jogging stroller vs. umbrella stroller in Alaska

My partner, 27 month old, and I will be in Alaska for a week (Anchorage, Homer and Seward) then on the Celebrity Summit cruise (8/10/07) from Seward to Vancouver. My question: Should we bring the jogging stroller or an umbrella stroller?? We are pretty active and will do some light hiking. We have the kid backpack but I'm not sure we need the bulk and strength of the big jogging stroller. Also, too big to store in the staterrom or on the balcony. Any thoughts?? Thanks.

i think it will a huge hassle bringing the jogger! Joggers are too bulky! How would you get it in the elevators or down the narrow hallways of the cruiseship?

The umbrella stroller will serve its purpose- giving your 2 year old a break when he/she is tired. Alaska involves a lot of touring/walking so the stroller will be handy!
