Souvenirs

Hubby and I have a lot of friends and family and we love to buy them souvenirs whenever we vacation. Do you buy souvenirs from the ship's gift shop or do you prefer to shop while in port? Shopping for t-shirts can get a little boring and frankly I have no idea what to get sometimes.

I shop from both the ship and on shore in port. It really depends on what you want to get them.

You can gets magnets, hats, christmas ornaments, t-shirts, jewelry, key chains, boexes of candy, cakes, toys, shot glasses, drinking mugs, small towel animals, and all sorts of other things on board ship. The prices...especially if the item goes on sale..aren't bad. They also have the store...or wall of the store where everything is $10. I've seen jewelry, watches, clutch purses, nail file cases, shawls...I'm sure I'm forgetting something. It's fairly nice stuff for the price.

There might be stores in port that sell ten items for the price of $?...which might make the better deal. I've seen this in Hawaii at the ABC stores but I can't say I've looked elsewhere. If you are going to Cozumel or some other port in Mexico they have the Del Sole stores where parts of the t-shirts, rings, frisbees, fingernail polish etc., turn colors in the sun. They are pretty cool. These are a bit pricey.

We have found the souvenirs on the ship to be on the dull side. While you can

find some Carnival ship logo shirts etc at some ok prices on some sea days.

We really enjoy the local shirts, local souvenirs to be the best and cheapest

way possible. Besides we love to meet and talk with the locals in the ports.
