Livorno Train Station?

Help, can anyone tell me if there is bus service from ship dock to train station in Livorno, and where tickets can be purchased? We want to take the train to Florence, but I understand the station is far from dock. Any infor will be greatly appreciated.

I think the only bus service is to the "town square" which is still many blocks from the train station. We took a taxi for the four of us and it was about $20. If you get off the ship around 7:00am you will have no problem getting a taxi to take you. Later, they are all hoping for day fares so the trip to the station isn't attractive. Don't forget to validate your tickets at the little yellow boxes on the platform!
