mk3hawkins Posted August 19, 2004 #1 Share Posted August 19, 2004 It says we will be arriving back to our home port at 8 am, how long do they give you before they start pushing you out the door? Should we pack the night before? will they be serving breakfast?
Big Al B. Posted August 19, 2004 #2 Share Posted August 19, 2004 You will probably have to pack and put your luggage outside your door the night before you arrive. You will be provided with color-coded luggage tags depending on what your post-disembarkation plans are (post-cruise stay, personal transportation, shuttle to airport, etc.) Most likely breakfast will be served. Once the ship arrives, there is usually a wait while it clears customs and immigration. On some lines such as NCL you can wait in your stateroom while in others you must go to one of the lounges and wait for your color to be called. Some lines will also let you keep your luggage and carry it off the ship yourself. Check on the board for your cruiseline for that info.

kitty9 Posted August 19, 2004 #4 Share Posted August 19, 2004 All your luggage, with the exception of your carry ons, are to be packed and outside your cabin door usually no later than midnight the night before you disembark. Your bags are taken to a holding area and then off loaded in the morning into the terminal. Depending on how quickly the ship clears, they usually start allowing passengers off by 9am, but it could be later if things go wrong and it could be a little earlier. The breakfast times and locations for that morning will be listed in the daily newsletter.
