Cruising for 5

Does anyone have any suggestions for the most economical way to book a cruise for 5? We have 3 children (ages 1 1/2, 6, and 8) and had hoped to be able to book a sping break cruise and be able to take advantage of the children sail free on Costa Cruises. We prefer to be in 1 cabin since we do not like to split up and the children are too young to be left alone in a cabin.

We are sailing on Carnival Sensation in Jan. with our three children (who will be 8,5,4) and we are in one room with an oceanview...It will be cramped but oh well, we'll just make sure we are busy and that we don't spend much time in our room. Apparently you have to book early for the rooms that can take 5 as they sell out fast!

Try Royal Carribean, they have Family Interior and Oceanview rooms designed for larger families, they are approx 300sqft in size where as standard inside and oceanview cabins are usually around 150-180sqft, so quite a bit larger, they also have a sectioned of bunk bed area for kids to sleep in, you only pay full price for the first two in the room, the 3rd, 4th, 5th etc etc guests in teh room pay the discounted rate etc, we have a Family Interior booked for next year, worked out quite a bit cheqper than doimng two rooms, and all that extra space! Excellent!

Good luck.

James
