Cruise lines definitely need to ban smoking in staterooms, balconies, casinos, most lounges, and all but small portions of outside common areas. The era of non-smokers being subjected to toxic, fetid fumes is finally coming to an end.

I voted other. I wish Royal had self service laundry facilities similar to NCL, Princess and Carnival. We sail mostly longer cruises and self service laundry facilities would certainly come in handy. Sure would make packing a lot easier and our luggage lighter. If others choose not to use it thats fine but at least give us the option.

I second this emotion and would add that I'd like to be able to purchase a bottle of alcohol for in room consumption.

Thus I voted "other"

I liked a lot of your ideas. I don't care for smoking, I don't care for chair hogs near the pool or in the theater. I wish there was a laundry room and I enjoy a drink in my cabin!

I know some resorts are enforcing chair hogs around the pools and it can be done. I know some people end up feeling, "if you can't beat them, join them." I have to admit, when we were in Mexico, after trying to get a chair for 4 days, on the fifth day, we participated in the "game." I'm not proud, but I was happy to have a chair!:D

Thankfully, , on this cruise, I have to be careful about the sun, so a chair in the sun isn't important anymore!

I voted "other" - the only thing that has really bothered us in the past is diapered kids in the pools, kids in the adults-only pool, and kids using jacuzzis as mini-pools without a parent present. Okay, actually, kids using jacuzzis as a mini-pool, diving and jumping, even WITH a parent present is obnoxious. I wish staff would step up in those situations so their OTHER paying patrons aren't put in the awkward position of policing other people's children.

1) Ban smoking from stateroom balconies;

2) Offer smokers a designated area top deck where they can congregate, smoke to their hearts content, and leave the rest of the open area to us non-smokers; and

3) Put in a rule which makes it mandatory for cruise ship passengers to wear swimming attire that is proportionate to their own unique physical makeup.

I'm not one for adding a lot of Nos to a vacation...I would like to see a few more yeses. I lived in a condo once where all these people wanted to control your lives. I think controlling people need to loosen up and enjoy life a bit more. If you check out the current poll results the highest percentage are to restrict. Now that is sad!

I'm pretty much satisfied with everything the way it is, but I would like to see them change the production shows and entertainers more often. After cruising on either Voyager or Explorer out of Cape Liberty 4 years in a row and being offered the same production shows and the same entertainer as one of the headline acts, I think it's time for a change.

Please tell me Michael' date=' how will #3 be enforced :D :p :D [/size']

I was wondering how long it would take before somebody asked me that....and to be sure, I don't have a clue how to enforce it...but couldn't resist including it in my answer earlier.

With all of the commotion over the recent and proposed changes by Royal Caribbean, if you could change one thing what would it be?

I loved everthing about my last cruise...if I didn't...why would I cruise again? No one makes me battle the chair hogs, the smokers were very polite, if I didn't want to dress up, I ate in my room or went to the Windjammer. If, I didn't want to pay for a soda card or Johnny Rockets, I didn't. I knew all this before I got on the ship.

So, whats to complain about, live and let live. When the day come's I think I should be telling the cruiselines what their rules should be...that's the day I best be able to buy my own ship and make the rules.

I'm not the judge and jury of the people that drink to much, eat to much or smoke to much or have kids that are out of control. I just look at mysellf and say, " who's perfect in this world." And thank God I am fortunate enough to afford to be on this fine ship, not everyone is so lucky.

On a dream cruise..........

non-smoking rooms/balcony areas

smoking lounge on top deck only

(one front and one back to be used dependent on wind direction)

cocktail card

iron board/iron in room or an iron room for each 20-30 cabins

plastic bottles for shampoo/soap

private jacuzzis/hot tubs on each balcony

lounge chairs on each balcony

(willing to have smaller room for more room on standard balconies)

multiple different shows each night at different times

reach the diamond level and above with fewer cruises needed

one free cocktail every night with dinner

free champagne at midnight

bottle of champagne and flowers in every stateroom on first day

free photographs or less expensive than these are now
