BirmanCrazy Posted July 25, 2007 #1 Share Posted July 25, 2007 I just won a bid on Priceline.com for 1 night at the Pacific Palisades for $140 plus tax. I have heard mixed reports on various hotel websites. (ex. Hotel.com) Several have stated that the hotel is more of a 3* than the reported 4*. If that's the case I'm not sure I got any kind of deal at all. Now, the location seems good though. Anyone stayed there??? Opinions wanted! Thanks a bunch! 3213dev Posted July 25, 2007 #2 Share Posted July 25, 2007 We stayed in there this May. The positioning is excellent. The hotel rooms are quite large and the views are amazing. We also used the hotel restaurant for breakfast and that excellent. All in all the hotel was great. Any specific questions you want to ask? BirmanCrazy Posted July 25, 2007 Author #3 Share Posted July 25, 2007 3213DEV: THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE REPLY! I was wondering if the condition of the hotel and it's rooms are good. Wallpaper, carpet etc need replacing due to age? Was there mold in the caulk in the bathroom? Cleanliness? There were some bad reviews that got me a little leary. Where do you hop on the circulating trolley to get around Vancouver to see the sights? Thanks again!
Urban trekker Posted July 26, 2007 #4 Share Posted July 26, 2007 If you choose to stay at Pacific Palisades the hop on hop off trolley will stop at the Blue Horizon hotel - part of the same complex - here's a link to their website: http://www.vancouvertrolley.com/citytours/tour.html Enjoy your visit and cruise Cheers Dennis
