Visas for China & India on the World Cruise

We've been getting conflicting information on obtaining visas for India and China on the World Cruise on the Voyager in January.

The brochure says individual visas must be obtained by the passengers prior to boarding; however we have heard from others that full cruise passengers visas are taken care of by the ship.

We ran into the same problem on the 2004 World Cruise (Grand Voyage to Asia and Pacific) and were told we had to obtain our own visa to China, which we did at our own cost; and then found out when arriving in China that we had already been covered by the ships blanket visa.

We would appreciate if someone out there knows the answer and would respond

Thanks

In the 64 page Radisson "2005 World Cruise" brochure, it clearly states all the perks for the full world cruisers. One of them is"Visa costs for U.S. and Canadian citizens residing in North America"

Everyone must now obtain an Indian and Chinese visa prior to embarking the ship if you are travelling to ports in India and China. The rules have changed on China since last year. All the other visas Radisson handles on board. Full world cruisers are fully paid for but the segment guests will be charged to the shipboard account for any visa costs incurred.

FULL WORLD CRUISE passengers have their visas paid for by RSSC but the passengers must still complete the forms and get the visas. The Zierer Visa service is where you go to do that. They are already set up with complimentary service for the Full World Cruise guests. In years past they sent out VISA kits but now it is all done on line.

To get Visas for Radisson sailings or to check if it is necessary.

This will bring up a list of voyages coded by ship name and date. For example Voyager March 24, 2005 would be VOY040324. Click on the appropriate voyage to bring up the visa application and instructions. From here you can print out the order form and visa form and send it in to Zierer to process your visa.

The time frame varies when the information is available on the cruise you are taking but the list comes up when you enter the web site and it is easy to do.
