Wine for Ship and California Laws

We are flying in to LAX the day before our cruise and would like to get some champagne to take on the ship as they don't have what we prefer on the Island Princess. Here in Maryland you can only buy wine in county controlled stores and other places with special licenses.

Is this true in California? Will I be able to find a place to buy wine in San Pedro?

There is no problem buying alcohol in California. It is sold every place, including grocery stores. There are places within driving distance from the pier in San Pedro but nothing at the cruise terminal or within walking distance.

Happy Sailing!

As 1cruiselvr says, anywhere in California. You will find many places to buy your champagne provided it is sold in the state. What brand are you looking for?
