Avg Daily temp in Alaska??

For those of you who have been recently (or who live there-lucky dogs:cool:) what is the avg. daytime temps. like. I have never been, am leaving in two weeks, and am still staring at an empty suitcase:eek:. Trying to figure out what to pack. I know everyone says layers ,but, does that mean you could possibly be in short sleeves-like a tshirt- or is it safe to say a 3/4 sleeve shirt or thin sweater. Any need for turtlenecks ?
