messy Posted July 27, 2007 #1 Share Posted July 27, 2007 We have reserved a mini suite on the Dolphin deck of the Emerald Princesll - I am wondering if the balcony is covered or not. I've seen a lot of info about the Coral decks but not much about this ship (probably because it's new). Does anyone have any information about the mini's decks? I believe we are looking at category AA. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks,
drpack Posted July 27, 2007 #2 Share Posted July 27, 2007 All the Dolphin Deck mini-suites are uncoverd. The only coverd mini-suites are on the Emerald Deck.

Geenie Posted July 29, 2007 #5 Share Posted July 29, 2007 Does anyone know if the mini suites on the Dolphin Deck that are uncovered get much shade?
old grey mare Posted July 29, 2007 #6 Share Posted July 29, 2007 Has anyone stayed on the Emerald deck in a mini-suite with a covered balcony? Princess told my travel agent and me (seperate calls) that there were NO covered balconies on Emerald. Thanks for the info.
Casshew Posted July 29, 2007 #7 Share Posted July 29, 2007 You only need look at a photo of the ship to SEE the covered balconies. Your agent and the Princess rep are misinforming you. The Emerald Deck AD minisuites are covered.

CruiserGreg Posted July 29, 2007 #9 Share Posted July 29, 2007 Has anyone stayed on the Emerald deck in a mini-suite with a covered balcony? Princess told my travel agent and me (seperate calls) that there were NO covered balconies on Emerald. Thanks for the info. We've had a mini on Emerald deck, cabin E728, on the Golden and it was completely covered. If you can snag one of the far aft balconies, they are stretched and much larger. Benita Posted July 29, 2007 #10 Share Posted July 29, 2007 The Emerald deck minisuite balconies are covered by those on the Dolphin deck. The Dolphin deck balconies are totally uncovered - we love it. It is like lying out by the pool without the crowds or noise. Of course, if you want shade, you have to go inside or sit in a covered area by the pool or promenade deck.
old grey mare Posted July 30, 2007 #11 Share Posted July 30, 2007 Thanks a million. Appreciate the pictures, now I will have to start arguring with Princess, already confirmed on Dolphin. Know Emerald deck is cheaper but would trade down just to get a cover over my head.
