Hello All!

A large group of friends and colleagues are planning on cruising in July 08 from FL. Most of us are scuba certified, so that will be our primary focus but we will be doing all the standards as well. Is there any interest in this trip becoming a member cruise?

The last cruise I took feature a CC get together and lots of informal activites; it changed the way I cruise. I just can't imagine a trip without the CC group.

I look forward to hearing from you!

Michelle

Hi Bruce,

We were hoping to hit as many quality dive ports as possible on a seven day cruise. Right now were are proposing Carnival Glory from Port Canaveral:

01 Cape Canaveral, Florida --- 4:00 PM 02 At sea --- --- 03 Cozumel, Mexico 10:00 AM 7:00 PM 04 Belize City, Belize 8:00 AM 5:00 PM 05 Riviera Maya, Mexico 8:00 AM 5:00 PM 06 At sea --- --- 07 Nassau, Bahamas 10:00 AM 4:00 PM 08 Cape Canaveral, Florida 7:00 AM

Let us know if your interested or would prefer other options. So far it looks as though we have five cabins of divers.

But so far, I'm "loyal to Royal" (I can't help it, I like to stick with what I know!). Anyone out there interested in putting together a scuba cruise on a Royal Caribbean ship? So far I have only seen Carnival and Princess.

Sounds great, but we're on the Valor on June 8th, Grand Cayman, Riviera Maya, Belize and Roatan...

have you snorkeled at belize or roatan?.. these ports will be on my Thanksgiving cruise on Navigator and are new ports to me, after 28 cruises.... Roatan has replaced Costa Maya ....

I've been to neither, yet.

I'd planned on going to Roatan for a land dive trip this winter, but got very mixed reviews from the folks I dove with on my two week trip to Grand Cayman this year..So, with the outrageous airfare for me to get there, I decided I'd go to Belize this winter...now I'm considering buying a timeshare in Grand Cayman...so it's all up in the air right now.

I'm looking foreward to that cruise a lot, though. I'll be able to check out the places myself and decide if they're worth a land vacation back to. ( I know Belize will be, I'm hoping I really like Roatan )

I think if you check out some of the scuba diving message boards like scubaboard you will find what you are looking for.

We hosted a scuba cruise aboard the Valor to the Western Caribbean - it was very popular and we had a large group. I checked into Royal Caribbean, and their group perks weren't as good as what Carnival and Princess offers.

We dove in Costa Maya (just okay), Belize (excellent) Grand Cayman (very good) Roatan (the best of four ports as far as diving was concerned). Cozumel will be very good as can Nassau depending on when you guys go. I am not too fond of Nassau, though I did some shark dives while there, so that could really make things interesting for your group.

Good luck with your plans. We have our hands full with a scuba cruise this November and one in 2008. Hopefully, you will generate a lot of interest. Those ports you guys are going to seem awesome!!

Good luck.
