karibritt01 Posted July 29, 2007 #2 Share Posted July 29, 2007 I have read 45 min-1 hr from port to RPB. You could get a taxi at the port, or rent a car at port. I read $10/person each way for taxi, so a car will probably be cheaper. The rental agency will provide a map of the island.
twinkletoes4445 Posted July 29, 2007 #3 Share Posted July 29, 2007 Here's Red Sail's website. Just click on what watersport activites you're interested in...and you will be able to see the prices. http://www.redsailcayman.com/gc_playwater.html Red Sail operates out of several different locations...Rum Point and Sea Grape (it's at the Courtyard Marriott, which is right in the same area). If you drive to Rum Point, it's about 45 minutes each way. It's a nice drive. The blow holes and the botanical gardens are over that direction also. We always rent from Andy's, but there are lots of rental agencies. GC is one of those rare Caribbean islands that you can actually rent your own car, explore...and feel quite safe while out on your own. I think NativeWay is the only company that offers a snorkel at Stingray Sandbar, and then a stop at Rum Point. You might also consider Royal Palms. It's the same type of set-up as Sea Grape, but a little bit closer to the tender area. Here's their website... http://www.reefgrill.com/pages/cruiseinformation.html Have fun in GC! :)
