trvlnfun Posted July 30, 2007 #1 Share Posted July 30, 2007 Hi! Does anyone recall when the Magic is decorated for Christmas? We may be cruising just prior to Thanksgiving and were hoping to see some signs....not trying to rush the season, but it is so beautiful during the holidays! Thanks! :)

dzneycruzegrl Posted July 31, 2007 #3 Share Posted July 31, 2007 We sailed mid-November about 2 years ago and I remember (and have pictures) of the Christmas tree being up in the lobby (we had our photo taken in front of it for our Christmas cards that year). MESH Posted August 2, 2007 #4 Share Posted August 2, 2007 :)Disney ships and Disney World follow the same procedure. Christmas decorations are completed after Thanksgiving. One of the best times to take a Disney Cruise is immediately after Thanksgiving (first two weeks in December). Prices and service are excellent as many people do not want to travel during this time period. The same is true for Disney World. We are going on back to back week trips this coming December. Katink Posted August 2, 2007 #5 Share Posted August 2, 2007 Mesh, thanks for your post because I'm thinking of booking the 11/29/08 Western cruise for the exact reason you mentioned - the price for a category 4 is the same price as for a category 6 just 2 weeks later. Knowing it won't be too early for holiday decorations is an added bonus. We go to Disneyland every year in early December because it really is even more magical when it's decorated for Christmas, the parks are uncrowded, and the hotel prices more reasonable. MBprincess Posted August 22, 2007 #6 Share Posted August 22, 2007 We actually were on the Magic a couple of years ago for Thanksgiving week. We couldn't make Key West because of the yacht races so we went to Castaway twice (I highly recommend doing that - after we did it they started having that option). It was "normal" Castaway when we first went there. When we went back fours days later (after Thanksgiving) it was completely Chirstmas including blowing snow and Holiday Mickey and Minnie. We took our Xmas Card picture there and the ship printed the cards for us.
