Help! A first-time cruiser needs help on a room choice

We are cruising on the Destiny the week of Sept. 23, 07. I upgraded to a aft cabin on the verandah deck. We're under the lido deck. Our deck wraps around and so we would see the back and side of the ship. I have read good and bad things about this room. Here's the deal, just checked on Carnival website and the suite guarantee price is the same as the what I just upgraded to. What would you all do? Would you stay in aft corner room or would you upgrade to a suite?

Depends on whether you'll use the balcony or the room itself more.

If you upgraded for the wrap balcony, definitely keep it.

If you read other posts on these boards, the Aft Wrap Around is very Desirable. How much time do you plan to spend in your room vs. on your Balcony. I hear the Balconies from the Suites are just as small as a normal room, but the Aft Wrap Around Balcony is huge.

If the Balcony is not important to you, then go for the Suite.
