nicschick Posted July 30, 2007 #1 Share Posted July 30, 2007 In January we're going to St Thomas/St Johns, St Kitts, Grenada, Bonaire, & Aruba. We are definitely snorkeling in Bonaire. Sightseeing/Touring in Grenada and St Kitts. My husband doesn't enjoy snorkeling as much as I do, so I don't want to overdo it. Is the snorkeling better in St Johns or Aruba? On each island where is the best snorkeling? We visit Cozumel at least once a year and are spoiled by the spectacular snorkeling. I'm afraid I will be disappointed with other places. cruisencarol Posted August 8, 2007 #3 Share Posted August 8, 2007 I like both St Johns and Aruba, but St Johns is clearly the winner. I always do both - you have to do a lot of snorkeling to work off the deserts :) I have been to Airport beach in Bonaire, but would like to choose a different spot. The beach snorkel is good, but arrange for the taxi to pick you up in advance - there are no facilities.
JRarey Posted September 8, 2007 #4 Share Posted September 8, 2007 DH and I are visiting the same Islands on the January 5th cruise on the Crown. I love Baby beach in Aruba for snorkeling. St John has some wonderful spots. Salt Pond Bay has the least amount of people and some wonderful snorkeling because you have the sea grass to see turtles and squids plus the reefs for everything else. Also if you swim out further you have more open water so large schools of large fish. Cinnamon Bay is enjoyable too. St John is a wonderful Island, can't wait to be back there! Best of cruising to you! Jan
